| Detailed scope of work | Scope of work: In this project, we will be completing a structural repair by adding a recessed 4-ply LVL beam over the kitchen, as well as a new LVL window header over the kitchen sink on which the recessed beam will sit. Please see engineering letter attached as we will be following the engineer’s plan for this project.
Because the window header over the kitchen sink needs to be replaced, a portion of the kitchen cabinets and countertops will be removed. Once the structural repair is completed, all of the kitchen finishes will be re-installed. We will not make any changes to the layout or finishes of the kitchen. The same appliances, cabinets, countertops, sink, and window will be re-installed.
NOTE: during testing, asbestos was found in some of the drywall to be removed. A separate remediation company is pulling their own permit and will complete the asbestos removal. This is not covered under our permit, but will be completed through the other company. |
